In even more uninteresting new: I just watched The Hobbit. Wasn't anything THAT special and could be appreciated only by those, who have seen The Lord of the Rings. Nonetheless I gave it a 8/10 and will be watching the rest.

Things to note:

  • I have started drinking tea with milk. Well, I usually don't have milk laying around and if I do - its old, so I substitute my milk with milk powder. Good enough for tea, it's the taste you want anyway, not the fat.
  • Watched Gantz Live Action movies 1 and 2. Not shit-tier, but I`m quite sure nobody, who doesn't already know Gantz, would enjoy it. And even then the story has been changed quite dramatically due to lack of screen-time and budget.
  • I installed aNTP (can't ever remember its full name without looking it up) on my google chrome. Looks interesting and will try it out for a while. Sadly, I`m no designer and thus it looks tasteless, but I hope my damn sweetheart will be able to fix that.
  • I really need to start saving up some money, thus I really need to stop spending so much money. I`m afraid, however, they I will need every last penny I have soon, since I`m unsure weather I will be allowed to keep renting my current apartment. And the prices on apartments have kind of skyrocketed. Hopefully everything will come out better than expected.
  • Last few days I feel like my brain has been working with 40% or less efficiency. Well, I don't really need more than 10% to get along, but still it does come with some negative effects. One of which is me getting increasingly more extroverted due to increased anxiety about future. People get to know parts and bits of me, when I get extroverted. People don't really like me. I need to find a way to stop doing it and just shut up.
  • I somehow decided I could start learning Japanese by frequenting on 2chan. I`m somehow still procrastinating.

Forgot to mention, that I did finally get my salary, only 2 days later. Turned out it really was stuck so if I would have waited any longer, I would have probably died of hunger.
Unfortunately large portion of my this months salary will go for paying off the damn water counters [?]. Their expiry date is due and thus fucking Rigas Namu Pārvalda are charging me ridiculous amounts of money. Obviously, by their count, an average person uses 10 times the amount of water I`m usually using. Fucking corrupted bunch of idiots without any idea how to properly do anything.

In another news, I`m a proud member of CyanogenMod community for a few days and my slowpoke Samsung Galaxy Mini grew a pair of data stream wings, as it seems. There are a few glitches, but no more than in the official Android releases and the gains from CyanogenMod 10 that is JellyBean 4.2 are awesome. I now have a zoom for my camera. It never had that. It's a digital one, so it's crap and I will never use it, but still a zoom.
Effectively, with that I got rid of Go Launcher. Seems it started lagging my android and eating more battery, than it ever did on Gingerbread.
Aw, I abolished Gingerbread right before Christmas.

To continue what I started today...well...yesterday already: we bought a new decent winter coat for my damn sweetheart. 80Ls. Fuck.
They are eating themselves. Yum!
What goes for Cloud Atlas, it was as boring for me as I thought, but at least I thought it would have some deeper ideas in it, something to think about when you are bored. Well...fuck. It was all about how important it is to tell the truth, to fight for the truth, to fight for freedom of speech, so we could tell truth and not be afraid. And it was laid out in a plain as possible way that every idiot could understand it. Waste of 3h, they could have just made a youtube video and include the key sentences in it. What I liked, however, was how they returned Mr. Smith. And a bit of matrix, when they started feeding dead clones to dead clones. As if they couldn't have been fed from the fast-food leftovers.

Unfortunately my evening didn't end on that negative note. My damn sweetheart is still being ignorant and oblivious to anything not considered as important by a higher authority than her. And It's driving me crazy. And I finally feel like giving up that shit.
I mean, I did change my fucking everything for her. I feel like I`m entitles to getting at least that little thing back, for her to stop and think bit, to learn to think, not just listen to whoever says whatever and blindly obey till her emotions take over and then everything flies to shit. She would be the one to get something out of it mostly, not me.
Or maybe I`m from, maybe I`m not really entitled to anything at all, maybe I didn't change myself at all and maybe that's just my fucked up emotions running wild.
Either way, it's hard to keep doing what I don't want to do, especially when there is zero motivation and nobody expects it from me. So why should I, again?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 - surprisingly good and easy to connect with. So far I have been watching all the Harry Potter parts with the "oh, whatever, since I already started..." attitude, but must admit, that this last one actually seemed good and left me with lasting impression.

Just finished watching Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Contrary to IMDB, I actually liked the third part, while I was never a really passionate fan of the first two. Well, what I disliked was some SCI-FI typical nonsense, which was expected, and pretty much every scene with Sam's gf in it.
Is my taste in movies that bad?

Ah, well, a report will do

Because it's such a tremendous torrent of text, I decided to hide it under a cut.

02 April, 2011

Just suddenly felt like writing a quick report

Here it goes.
Returning to my last Friday's post - I did miraculously manage to do all my homeworks, which means that I finally caught up to my studies and can continue planning for additional stuff. Unfortunately we still are getting a little flooded with homework, so there is not that much additional stuff I will have the time to do.
What I`m doing today is finally reading. To be more exact I`m reading Anna Rice's second book in her vampire franchise (see explanation of the word here) called The Vampire Lestat. Of course I`m doing it only for the summary I ought to write, but it's actually a little bit more. I have actually wanted to read the damn book for several years already. Now that I`m finally at it, it's vivid imagery of turning grotesque, suffering, pain and filth into something outwordly beautiful is bringing me back to the summers that I spent adoring goths and the philosophy behind it all. I even built a playlist to play in the background while reading it. Not to mention that craving to watch Queen of the Damned again.
What more deserves my mentioning is the new series Camelot that's most definitely going to gather some popularity, even though Jamie Campbell Bower might have been a bad choice for the role of King Arthur, in my opinion. What personally I find particularly good about it is, firstly, that it's actually so much deeper than series these days usually are, it certainly has some characteristics of a good literary work rather than a tv-show. And secondly the way Merlin is portrayed there is particularly appealing to me as I feel like I could actually learn something new from him about manipulating people.

Today I felt especially posh so instead of having one meal of fried potatoes with spice and tomato sauce at 19:00 I decided to have 2 meals of rice fried together with some onion, paprika and canned meat at 15:30 and 22:00 .  Oh the luxurious life of a student living off his parents.

Limitless

Just now finished watching Limitless; throwing out some of my frustration.
I really wasn't pleased how they handled all the *suddenly a genius* thing. The guy gets smart, gets his brain working, has access to limitless concentration and every little piece of memory stuck in his subconsciousness. He can think clearly, straight and organized. And what does he do? Goes around shopping, having fun at parties, kissing, fucking and kissing some more...and then being flashy in everything he does. I mean seriously, if it were me my first thoughts would have been "my supplies are limited and I don't know the hell is in there, I need to ensure it's not going to kill me and then guarantee that I will never run out of it" after which I would proceed to build up my power and influence as stealthy as possible and become the force ruling the world from the shadows. A president? That's like coloring yourself in red before running out on battlefield.
Well, the movie itself wasn't all THAT bad, but I wouldn't go around recommending it to people. Even though the ending was kind of a surprise to me, I was awaiting something more dramatic with some morale in it, but oh well, whatever.
