Why kids are rotten

I have to log in to get access to the source page of
this picture, so instead have a link to this
I never thought about it, but it just hit me while watching Shigofumi.
The thing with today's youth is that they are too apathetic, they lack any sense of empathy, responsibility, ethics, tolerance etc. etc. etc. They are apathetic and the only think holding them from going apeshit anarchic is fear of authority. And you just know it's not going to last. So where is the root cause? Is it their parents fault or the society as a whole? Well - partly both.
Parents, trying their best to give their kids proper childhood, are always trying to shield them from anything bad. And society as a whole accepts it and encourages it. And the problem lies at how good both of them are at it.
I consider myself a good person. My morals may not be the ones of a shining white knight, but at least I always try my best to remain a good person. Whenever I tried to remember what exactly formed me as such, I remember the TV-shows I watched as a kid about angels and generally people being every-day heroes and such. I thought that it was maybe the good deeds they did, like most parents would think, but essentially it's completely wrong. What really affected me, was the tragedy. The tragedies I saw formed in an imaginary world, imaginary people struggling with their life, imaginary families being destroyed, imagining myself in their place, imagining the pain they I would feel in their place. I do not wish to feel so much pain, to live in a world full of such tragedies or even to be reminded daily that the pain could be real. And that's what the youth today lacks.
Youth today is given just heroes that will save them from any small distress, they are given a bright and shiny world of cool stuff, they are given hope and dreams of future close to utopia, they are given the source of security, that nobody will hurt them and that the whole world is there to protect them. I`m not saying it's bad, if great, it's fantastic, in fact, that we can reach such results just a half century away from the World War 2. But they never get the chance or the time, or the need to discover what a tragedy feels like and that's why they never develop necessary emotional responses to protect the world from tragedies.

I recently finished off 4 seasons of The IT Crowd. It's hilariously funny at times and at times - a britt-boring show. Still I consider it being worth watching, especially for people who like The Big Bang Theory.
Otherwise I keep on distancing myself from anime and 4chan and instead spend my time watching documentaries on youtube and exploring the What's hot list on google+. And I feel like giving up, but still holding there.

And right now I`m a sad panda, because I still haven't gotten my salary. Contacted personnel department [?] today, seems the payment was stuck and got it moving. In my naivete I hope it will be transferred from DNB Bank to Swedbank in a couple of hours and I will still be able to make it to the mall, but usually it takes a day at least.

About now

Due to some stupid circumstances related to my damn sweetheart, I have abolished the biggest part of my everyday life - anime and browsing sites like 4chan etc. I`m still watching TV series, but, unfortunately, I mostly watch only Sci-Fi, and good Sci-Fi series are kind of scarce and can't fill the void that has been left in my life after leaving anime. Thus, I am left with no other choice than to read news and look for some informative video on YouTube. Been watching stuff like Secrets of Body LanguageGeneral Psychology videos and outside YouTube -  Erich Von Daniken - Chariots Of The Gods. Can't say I feel smarter yet.
Gotta admit, that while commuting to and from work, I still read some manga on my Android, but now it does feel like kind of a waste of time and I hope to one day switch to actually learning something while commuting, e.g. Japanese, Swedish, Psychology or even, in some bizarre way, Android application development.

Why not games? I`m not sure. Playing them alone, without even a single person I know that plays them, kind of feels sad, lonely and boring.

Just suddenly felt like writing a quick report

Here it goes.
Returning to my last Friday's post - I did miraculously manage to do all my homeworks, which means that I finally caught up to my studies and can continue planning for additional stuff. Unfortunately we still are getting a little flooded with homework, so there is not that much additional stuff I will have the time to do.
What I`m doing today is finally reading. To be more exact I`m reading Anna Rice's second book in her vampire franchise (see explanation of the word here) called The Vampire Lestat. Of course I`m doing it only for the summary I ought to write, but it's actually a little bit more. I have actually wanted to read the damn book for several years already. Now that I`m finally at it, it's vivid imagery of turning grotesque, suffering, pain and filth into something outwordly beautiful is bringing me back to the summers that I spent adoring goths and the philosophy behind it all. I even built a playlist to play in the background while reading it. Not to mention that craving to watch Queen of the Damned again.
What more deserves my mentioning is the new series Camelot that's most definitely going to gather some popularity, even though Jamie Campbell Bower might have been a bad choice for the role of King Arthur, in my opinion. What personally I find particularly good about it is, firstly, that it's actually so much deeper than series these days usually are, it certainly has some characteristics of a good literary work rather than a tv-show. And secondly the way Merlin is portrayed there is particularly appealing to me as I feel like I could actually learn something new from him about manipulating people.

Today I felt especially posh so instead of having one meal of fried potatoes with spice and tomato sauce at 19:00 I decided to have 2 meals of rice fried together with some onion, paprika and canned meat at 15:30 and 22:00 .  Oh the luxurious life of a student living off his parents.

The new walking dead episode is out. Good, now I don't have to worry about running out of stuff to watch while having dinner.
Can't decide if I should embrace my laziness and do nothing till tomorrow or write the damn essay now. Anyway, thinking about the stuff to write there is making me remember that I`m lately behaving like a moron at college...well, ok, not like a moron - like a common, typical college student. ...God I have fallen low...

I remember wanting to write a note to myself when I started composing this, but I forgot what it was about. Guess it was something important I was right about wanting to put on a reminder for.
